Bees Can ‘Turn Back Time,’ Reverse Brain Aging
July 4, 2012
ScienceDaily (July 3, 2012) — Scientists at Arizona State University have discovered that older honey bees effectively reverse brain aging when they take on nest responsibilities typically handled by much younger bees. While current research on human age-related dementia focuses on potential new drug treatments, researchers say these findings suggest that social interventions may be used to slow or treat age-related dementia.
In a study published in the scientific journal Experimental Gerontology, a team of scientists from ASU and the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, led by Gro Amdam, an associate professor in ASU’s School of Life Sciences, presented findings that show that tricking older, foraging bees into doing social tasks inside the nest causes changes in the molecular structure of their brains.
“We knew from previous research that when bees stay in the nest and take care of larvae — the bee babies — they remain mentally competent for as long as we observe them,” said Amdam. “However, after a period of nursing, bees fly out gathering food and begin aging very quickly. After just two weeks, foraging bees have worn wings, hairless bodies, and more importantly, lose brain function — basically measured as the ability to learn new things. We wanted to find out if there was plasticity in this aging pattern so we asked the question, ‘What would happen if we asked the foraging bees to take care of larval babies again?”

Merck’s Deceptive New Entertainment Product Campaign Pushes Drugs Like Candy on Young Children
Wednesday, 04 July 2012 07:50

‘The same multinational drug company responsible for thrusting the Gardasil vaccine on masses of young boys and girls is now targeting children with a deceptive new advertising campaign that likens allergy medication to candy.
Adweek and others are reporting that Merck & Co. has leeched itself onto a promotional campaign for the upcoming Dreamworks film Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted, a move that has prompted the Public Health Advocacy Institute (PHAI) and several other advocacy groups to file a complaint with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Packaging for Claritin allergy medication apparently now features characters from the Madagascar 3 movie emblazoned right on the label. The labels also entice children with offers of free stickers, downloadable Madagascar 3 interactive games, popcorn containers, and other knick-knacks.’
GlaxoSmithKline to Pay $3 Billion Fine After Pleading Guilty to Healthcare Fraud – the Biggest in U.S. History
Tuesday, 03 July 2012 10:06

‘A UK drugs firm has been hit with a $3billion penalty after admitting to the ‘biggest healthcare fraud in history’.
GlaxoSmithKline paid U.S. medics to prescribe potentially dangerous medicines to adults and children.
It handed out cash as well as everything from Madonna concert tickets to pheasant-hunting trips. Authorities branded GSK as ‘cheaters who thought they could make an easy profit at the expense of public safety, taxpayers, and millions of Americans’.’
World’s First GM Babies Born
Friday, 29 June 2012

‘The world’s first geneticallymodified humans have been created, it was revealed last night.
The disclosure that 30 healthy babies were born after a series of experiments in the United States provoked another furious debate about ethics. So far, two of the babies have been tested and have been found to contain genes from three ‘parents’.
A Step Toward Minute Factories That Produce Medicine Inside the Body
ScienceDaily (June 27, 2012) — Scientists are reporting an advance toward treating disease with minute capsules containing not drugs — but the DNA and other biological machinery for making the drug. In an article in ACS’ journal Nano Letters, they describe engineering micro- and nano-sized capsules that contain the genetically coded instructions, plus the read-out gear and assembly line for protein synthesis that can be switched on with an external signal.
Merck Vaccine Fraud Exposed by Two Merck Virologists; Company Faked Mumps Vaccine Efficacy Results for Over a Decade, says Lawsuit
Thursday, 28 June 2012 07:31

‘According to two Merck scientists who filed a False Claims Act complaint in 2010 — a complaint which has just now been unsealed — vaccine manufacturer Merck knowingly falsified its mumps vaccine test data, spiked blood samples with animal antibodies, sold a vaccine that actually promoted mumps and measles outbreaks, and ripped off governments and consumers who bought the vaccine thinking it was “95% effective.”‘
FDA Approves Meningitis Vaccine After Big Pharma Conducts Human Experiments
Monday, 25 June 2012

‘The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given GlaxoSmithKilne (GSK) their approval of the MenHibrix vaccine(MHV), which is meant for infants between the ages of 6 weeks to 18 months. This vaccine is a dangerous mixture of the meningococcal disease and Hib disease. MHV will be manufactured in Rixensart, a Belgium-based arm of GSK Biologicals.
In 2010 and 2011, the FDA rejected MHV. GSK claims that they have “resolved” the FDA’s concerns about the necessity, potency and efficiency of MHV. This simply accepted GSK’s word that they have taken care of the vaccine’s issues. The FDA does not require more proof than that.’

Congress Sides with Monsanto over GMO Battle
Monday, 25 June 2012

‘Biotech giants Monsanto were awarded a victory by lawmakers in Washington this week after a congressional panel voted to let farmers plant genetically modified crops made by the agriculture company despite pending legal proceedings.
A committee made up of members of the US House of Representatives agreed on Tuesday this week to allow genetically modified crops manufactured by the Monsanto corporation and other biotech companies, including competitors Dupont Co., to continue to be used on American farmlands. The ruling comes despite a trove of legal challenges that have hindered full-fledged approval of some genetically modified organisms, or GMOs.’
High Intake of Cholesterol Shown to Actually Repair Damaged Brains
Saturday, 23 June 2012 09:00

‘Including high-cholesterol foods as part of a healthy diet may not be the poor dietary choice we have all been told it is, suggests a new study published in the journal Nature Medicine. It turns out that cholesterol actually helps increase production of an important component of the nervous system that facilitates proper nerve cell communication, and prevents the onset of brain diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.’

MMR Causes Autism, Proven in Italian Court Case
Friday, 22 June 2012
1 in 88 children are autistic in the U.S, a jump from 1 in 125 children in 2006. (picture from: http://libertarianreview.us/2012/04/01/thiomersal-still-common-in-vaccines-autism-rates-on-the-rise/)
(NaturalNews)’For many years the stories from devastated parents have been eerily similar. A young, bright child vaccinated with MMR, has minor side effects such as high temperature and being off food, and then develops the debilitating disability of autism.
Whilst the mainstream medical profession deny the link between autism and the triple shot of measles, mumps and rubella, there have been many who have argued to the contrary. Statistics show the increases in autism correlate alarmingly with the introduction and uptake of the MMR vaccine. And Now in an Italian court, there has been a landmark ruling for a child whose parents claim that his autism was triggered by MMR.’
