The US-Al Qaeda Alliance: Bosnia, Kosovo and Now Libya. Washington’s On-Going Collusion with Terrorists

Saturday, 30 July 2011 07:35

‘Twice in the last two decades, significant cuts in U.S. and western military spending were foreseen: first after the fall of the Berlin Wall, and then in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis. But both times military spending soon increased, and among the factors contributing to the increase were America’s interventions in new areas: the Balkans in the 1990s, and Libya today.1 Hidden from public view in both cases was the extent to which al-Qaeda was a covert U.S. ally in both interventions, rather than its foe.

U.S. interventions in the Balkans and then Libya were presented by the compliant U.S. and allied mainstream media as humanitarian. Indeed, some Washington interventionists may have sincerely believed this. But deeper motivations – from oil to geostrategic priorities – were also at work in both instances.’

‘Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has said the United States pressured Italy to enter the war against Libya.

Russia Refuses To Recognize Libyan Rebels…..

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says his country refuses to recognize the rebel National Transitional Council as Libya’s legitimate government. He says Moscow is still ready to deal with the Benghazi-based council as a side for negotiations to determine Libya’s future.

Sergei Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, said, “It means once again that those who declare recognition of the Libyan rebels stand fully on the side of one political force in a civil war which is ongoing in Libya. It means once again that the supporters of such a decision are the supporters of the policy of isolation. In this case, of isolation of those forces that represent Tripoli.”

Intense and Epic Gun Battle, Souk Al-Thulatha,(Zlitan, Libya) July 11, 2011

(Graphic)reason: “dead rebel soldier lies dead”

This is one of the more intense gunfights i’ve seen in the last few days, very good vid,but the description was in Arabic.

It looks to be Rebel forces advancing on a Gaddafi position,a lot of incoming and outgoing fire.

Also includes dead rebel on the ground,so it’s (mildly graphic)

at the end is seen to what i believe to be a Gaddafi flag being torn down.

Amazing footage.

It seems that wordpress accepts embedded vids only from youtube and google, so here is the link

Countdown to Invasion; Libya’s Neighborhoods Prepare for NATO’s Boots

‘NATO’s claims that private apartments and homes, schools, shops, factories, crops, and warehouses storing sacks of flour were legitimate military targets are not believed by anyone here in Libya. To date NATO has failed to provide a scintilla of evidence that the 15 civilians, mainly children and their aunts and mothers, who were torn to pieces by 8 NATO rockets in the Salman neighborhood last week were legitimate military targets.

Tripoli’s 3,200 neighborhoods, independently of the Libyan Armed Forces, are intensively preparing for the possibility that NATO forces or those they are seen as increasingly arming and directing, might invade the cosmopolitan greater Tripoli area during the coming weeks or months.’
