Nato Suggests ‘Weapons Systems Failure’ in Tripoli Raid that Killed Still More Civilians
Monday, 20 June 2011 07:51
Brain failure and heart failure more like. Nato said that it would target anyone who harmed civilians in Libya and so, yet again, it must now bomb itself.

‘Nato has admitted “a weapons systems failure” may have led to civilian casualties in Sunday morning’s air strike in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
The alliance said the intended target was a missile site, but “it appears that one weapon” did not hit it. The Libyan government earlier said Nato had bombed a residential area, killing nine civilians, including two babies.’
Turkey to Host NATO Ground Forces
Monday, 20 June 2011 08:09

‘Amid ongoing deadly unrest in Syria, NATO plans to turn its airbase in Turkey into a stronghold for the US-led military alliance’s ground forces.
The alliance would transfer its ground forces from a military base in the city of Heidelberg in southwestern Germany and another outpost in Spain to the Izmir Air Station in western Turkey, Journal of Turkish Weekly reported earlier in the month. The base, NATO’s oldest stronghold in Turkey, currently accommodates 400 operational and technical forces.’
‘Son of Star Wars’ Base in Yorkshire Finally Ready to Open
Monday, 20 June 2011 09:03

‘A “star wars” inspired defence shield that will alert the US to the launch of ballistic missiles is expected to be operational from a North Yorkshire airbase before the end of the year.
The Space Based Infrared System is seen as the successor to Ronald Reagan’s unrealised “star wars” programme, which would have detected Soviet missiles and shot them down using lasers.
The new system, which has cost more than $10bn, has taken almost two decades to build and has been subject to numerous delays and cost overruns. The imminent completion of the project at the RAF Menwith Hill base near Harrogate has revived fears that space is in danger of becoming militarised, with Britain in the vanguard.’

The conference is an official non-partisan organization for 1,200 cities with a population exceeding 30,000. The mayors also drew attention to the human costs of the wars.’
Greeks Renew Anti-Government Protests
Sunday, 19 June 2011 05:22

“People should have no illusions … (the government) and creditors will sit together to skin the Greek people alive,” the Greek Communist party secretary Aleka Papariga said, the Associated Press reported.
Since last year, Greece has been the scene of near-daily street protests against the government’s austerity measures, which have targeted salaries and pensions.’
US-NATO are Planning a Ground War in Libya, Military Intervention in Syria
Sunday, 19 June 2011 06:03

‘Even as the Obama administration prepares to launch a full ground war in Libya while expanding its drone attacks inside Yemen and Pakistan, US warships are being moved towards the Mediterrenean coast of Syria, precisely in line with forecasts that the Bilderberg Group intended to launch a massive new war in the Middle East, with Syria being its prime target.’

Clinton on Syria: Astounding Lies, Zero Legitimacy
Sunday, 19 June 2011 09:26

‘Out of either desperation, or immeasurable hubris, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has just attempted to rewrite the last 3 months of history, contradicting her own department’s statements made during the onset of the Syrian unrest.
Within the pages of the London-based, Saudi-funded Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, Hillary Clinton joined Barack Obama, Nicholas Sarkozy, and David Cameron in the bizarre trend of Western leaders writing newspaper editorials in an attempt to reinforce the ever-changing, ever-contradicting official narrative. Clinton’s article titled, “There is no going back in Syria,” oafishly parrots month-old corporate-funded think-tank talking points with the addition of hamfisted reversals on the US State Department’s own narratives.’

Mr Karzai said that “foreign military and especially the US itself” were involved in peace talks with the group. Hours later, suicide bombers attacked a Kabul police station, killing nine.
