A Third of Europeans Have Mental Illness

‘Researchers say some 38 percent or two in five of Europeans suffer psychological problems such as depression, anxiety and insomnia or a neurological disease like Parkinson’s and dementia.
The study, which covered 30 countries including 27 EU members, showed that just about 165 million of the European mental patients are receiving treatment and mental illness is becoming a major socioeconomic problem as most of these people could not be employed and their personal relationships are broken down.’
