US Government Openly Admits Arming Mexican Drug Gangs With 30,000 Firearms – But Why?

‘It is now a widely-reported fact that under the Obama administration, U.S. federal agents actively placed over 30,000 fully-functional weapons into the hands of Mexican drug gangs, then halted all surveillance and tracking activities of where those weapons were going.
This is not a conspiracy theory, nor a piece of fiction. It is now an openly-admitted fact that this was pulled off by the BATFE (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, more commonly called “ATF”) under orders from Washington. The program was called “Fast and Furious.”
Even Reuters is now covering the news and reporting how members of Congress are outraged to learn that this happened.’

Obama Administration Shuts Down Investigations Into Bush-era Torture

‘As part of its cover-up of Bush administration war crimes, the Obama administration announced June 30 that it would shut down 99 investigations into deaths of prisoners in US custody during the so-called “war on terror,” leaving only two investigations with the potential to develop into criminal prosecutions.
The announcement underscores the fact that the anti-democratic policies developed during the presidency of George W. Bush continue unchallenged under President Barack Obama, who is doing everything in his power to keep the lid on the crimes of his predecessor.’

‘Belly Bombs’: Government Claims Phantom Terrorists Will Surgically Implant Explosives In Humans

‘In response to a Department of Homeland Security warning to airlines that it believes terrorists want to bypass full body scanners and blow up commercial airliners by planting bombs inside humans, the TSA has indicated it will intensify security procedures across the nation’s airports.
“The Department of Homeland Security has identified a potential threat from terrorists who may be considering surgically implanting explosives or explosive components in humans to conduct terrorist attacks,” an advisory to foreign counterparts notes, according to an unnamed U.S. security official.
The advisory says that the DHS believes terrorists could inject a detonating chemical into themselves to trigger the so called “belly bombs”.’

Israeli Government Approves Plan Which Will ‘Eliminate Palestinian Identity’

‘The Israeli government has approved the formation of a committee to “Judaise” the names of Palestinian towns and historical sites. According to one Arab member of the Knesset (parliament), this is “part of a project to eliminate Palestinian identity”. MK Ahmed Al Tibi claimed that such a move indicates that the Israelis lack confidence in the veracity of their own historical and cultural narrative.
“On the one hand, the Israelis are trying to Judaize Jerusalem, the Galilee and the Negev, eliminating the Palestinians’ memory with the Nakba revival law.’

‘Australian Green leader, Senator Bob Brown, recently unveiled his hope for a “world parliament.” Corporate commentators and spineless journalists proclaim the idea of a world parliament is something now to be treated seriously, not laughed at. Authors and researchers discussing long laid out plans for world parliament and critical of the movement, consistently having been right on the money, have been laughed at for so long and called derogatory terms. Now we are to stop laughing and take it serious, for the time of world government is nigh.
Senator Brown believes we are inevitably moving toward a world community or “global, uh, parliamentary…governance” while deriding conspiracy talk. One will notice how all politicians who make public mention of this agenda always stutter before they proclaim “global, uh, governance.” On a personal note, I was given similar treatment. In university, one of my professors (a psychologist) had summoned my classmate and me for coffee. Strange, but we realized he had been secretly evaluating our sanity due to the matters we were discussing in class.’

US Rejects Demands to Vacate Pakistan Drone Base

‘The US is rejecting demands from Pakistan that American personnel abandon a military base used by the CIA to stage drone strikes against militants, US officials told Reuters.
US personnel have not left the Shamsi air base and there is no plan for them to do so, said a US official familiar with the matter. “That base is neither vacated nor being vacated,” the official said. The information was confirmed by a second US official.
On Wednesday, federal Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar said that US had been asked to stop using the base for drone strikes and vacate it.’
Senate Confirms Petraeus as CIA Chief

‘The unanimous vote for the new chief of the Central Intelligence Agency on Thursday was confirmed in a 94-0 vote by the Senators, AP reported.
Petraeus replaces Leon Panetta, whose appointment as the new Defense Secretary was confirmed by the Senate last week in a 100-0 vote. Panetta succeeds Robert Gates, who is set to retire.’

‘British government officials approached nuclear companies to draw up a co-ordinated public relations strategy to play down the Fukushima nuclear accident just two days after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and before the extent of the radiation leak was known.
Internal emails seen by the Guardian show how the business and energy departments worked closely behind the scenes with the multinational companies EDF Energy, Areva and Westinghouse to try to ensure the accident did not derail their plans for a new generation of nuclear stations in the UK.
“This has the potential to set the nuclear industry back globally,” wrote one official at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), whose name has been redacted. “We need to ensure the anti-nuclear chaps and chapesses do not gain ground on this. We need to occupy the territory and hold it. We really need to show the safety of nuclear”.’
